The Lake...
Where we fell in love.
The glisten on the water
From the star soaked sky above.

The way he grabbed my hand
As he leaned in for a kiss
Who new in the end
It'd be the kiss that I would miss.

For months and months
Everything was great
I new my heart could get broken,
But that was a chance I was willing to take.

Straight out of a fairytale
Was the way we chose to live
Taking all we could take
Giving all we could give.

Things could only be so good
Before they turned so bad
My happiness turned to tears
And everything I saw was sad.

The person that I love
Was slowly pulling away
I tried to hold on tight
But we grew further apart each day.

The Lake...
Where he broke my heart
The stillness of the water
With the lifeless sky above.
